I used Flemish glazing technique to make this beautiful artwork.

The painting titled «A midnight garden» depicts a floral composition of several pink peonies on a black background. The work is meant to celebrate the persistence and harmony of human existence. This was achieved by taking as a model the nature's utmost beautiful product: the flowers. In the visual arts, indeed, flowers have always been considered the ultimate epitome of sensuality, vigor, elegance, and passion: all of which are supreme attributes of the driving force of human consciousness. To convey these concepts, I painted aggressively, spreading petals on the canvas frantically, like an explosion of colors and irregular geometric shapes that spread beyond the painting's two-dimensional boundaries. In the same way that pure affection transcends any imposed confinement, the destructive force of the composition moves deliberately toward the innermost sensitivities of the curious spectator.
